- When the Minnesota Zoo was opening their newest exhibit of Penguins from the African Coast in June 2011, a large scale advertising campaign was taken on. Posters, press documents, media invites, banners, bilboards, and a commerical were all used to increase awareness of these new furry creatures. The tage line "Do the Waddle" was selected as a fun way to advertise these penguins that are famous for their waddling.
Description
What do the Minnesota Zoo, a local advertising agency, 14 penguins, and a state shutdown have to do with each other? One great internship. As the graphic and web design intern at the Minnesota Zoo, I experienced all of the above and had the opportunity to apply a campaign across many platforms.

Dating My Teenage Daughter
Inspiration can come from anywhere! In this case, it came from a book that was a beginner’s guide to knitting. Pulling from the personal experience of a father meeting a potential suitor with an application, I decided to write a book from a father’s point of view about the rules of dating his teenage daughter. I wrote the content while the illustrations were designed similar to the icon illustrations of the knitting book.
